I got 700-odd words written across two fics. this is good!

I decided that I was going to add 100 new words to each story everyday. That's doable as a minimum.

It totally counts as world building if you're making up a playlist for characters in my original series, right?

(I'm meant to be filling in job apps, but I've had enough for today. I can't write anything when I've a war between Chemira and Human in my living room)

In lieu of actually writing (GODSPIT AND SHIT WILL PEOPLE STOP SUCKING UP MY TIME! UPDATE YOUR OWN DAMN GYPSY!) I've decided I don't like my main character's first name. (This is the fourth time I've changed it)

I like Eden, but already have a character on the opposing side called Eve. So poll!

Circuit training and 25 mins yoga. walking planks are evil

So there was a finale or something this Thursday? I haz thoughts, but I want to marshall them first. I feel the need to meta like I did in S2.

Writing is going well, I broke the 2000 word barrier this week and the voice is starting to sound like me again. I'm reading back what I'm writing and I like it. It doesn't make me cry. I had intended to write one thing, but ended up doing another, because that's where the story wanted to go. I started out crucifying someone, now I'm having an exorcism.

This makes me happy.

went for a walk in the sun. Very nice (90min). Then did 34 min pilates.

Also did another 120 words in my fic. Still need icons. Brain is now also trying to write an alternative history of Alexander the Great invading India. I blame Spartacus.

Science people!

Does ultraviolet light get picked up by normal camcorders? Or infrared? (The character can see in one of these ranges, but if normal cameras can't, then I'll write something else.)

If someone washes down a murder scene with bleach, does the blood still show up under luminol and ultraviolet?

it shouldn't be this hard to find a scientifically verifiable history of the development of religion, mainly Judaism. And angels, like when they first appeared in human writing. I'd always been told it was 10k years ago in Zoroastrianism, but that would be hard as that religion seemed to have come into being in 800BCE.

I can find stuff for all the other religions, except Judaism. Everything I find for that tries to reference the Old Testament. Now that's fine if you can back it up with science and other sources, but mostly you can't. (I need it match stuff happening in human history with stuff happening in "Heaven" for want of a better word for my original verse. And maybe my SPN one as well.)

There was this guy on Channel Four who believed that the dating system in the Bible was wrong and that he could match up things mentioned there with carbon dating and stuff. It was fascinating. Whilst holy texts are not history books, it did indicate how accuratesome of the recording was and helped place it more precisely within human history and experience. It enriched the meaning and background to the text.

I might have to dig up some of the stuff that minister on Channel 4 does. Oh, well, I'll be in the libary tomorrow anyway.

I'm happier than yesterday. Didn't get much exercise done, but I did clean the living room and do 25 mins of yoga.

I'm finding the voice recorder a wee godsend. I'm recording all the wee bits of plot and character while I'm doing the dishes or whatever.

However, it's made something glaringly obvious. I have a great setting and compelling characters. The one thing I don't have is plot.

So, you can see why that might be a problem.

I also found out why I haven't been able to write any more in Imitating Angels. The backstory/arc that I had planned was taking the same path as Silver Bullet. Now that's not unsalvagable, IA's arc has only ever been hinted at and can be changed. There's casefics and porn I can write (for the three of you that are interested) that have nothing to do with any arc.

On the other hand, I'm not as fannish about SPN as I used to be. I'm not reading much fic and I certainly don't feel like writing it. Even though I'd love to get my WIPs done and dusted, just because. I still adore it, but I just don't feel like any further involvement. My flist is a group of friends now, rather than a friendly group, so we don't need a common fandom to bind us anymore.

My fannish needs are being met by Flashpoint and Primeval (Though much of the Primeval fic is dire)

I'm not going to put Silver Bullet to a publisher or anything, say I ever did get it done. I just want to get something done and out there that's mine I've had these characters and this setting in my head for well over 20 years. They need to get out!

I just need this to be complete, for me. At least with all the other stories I've had, I didn't write them as full stories, but sketches, but they are complete skeletons, ready to be fleshed out and I can live with them like that.
